June is here and summer is upon us! The weather is heating up and you may be itching to get outside, so here are some events going on this month that you won’t want to miss out on!

2019 Manitou Springs Colorado Wine Festival
Saturday, June 1st 11am-5pm
Wine lovers, join Manitou Springs for a day full of wine tasting and community! Sip on wine from over 35 Colorado Wineries, enjoy live music, as well as local food and craft vendors in Memorial Park. Tickets are $40, with a discount for all of our military and first responders. If you’re a designated driver, you get in for free. Start the month of June off right!

Sunday Food & Makers Market
Sunday June 2nd, 8am-2pm
Local nonprofit organization, The Made For More Project, hosts a Sunday Food & Makers Market through the summer, and the opening Sunday is on the 2nd! Featuring many local food trucks, artists, music and so much more, come out for this FREE family event, located in Acacia Park downtown.

Les Miserables
Wednesday, June 5th at 8pm
Brought to you by the American Theatre Guild, go witness the rebirth of Les Miserables with Broadway at the Pikes Peak Center. A stunning musical set in 19th century France, “Les Miz” sends you on an adventure of the human spirit. Heartbreaking and passionate, it is a classic you won’t want to miss. Opening night is Wednesday, June 5th at 8pm and tickets start at $64. The show only runs through the 9th, so run and grab your ticket now!

Life is the Bubbles
Saturday June 8 10am-12pm
Bring your little princesses (and princes!) to meet Princess Ariel! Hosted by Sweet Celebrations, join Princess Ariel for some yummy treats, music and crafts. Parents and children under the age of 2 are FREE, and just $10 for every other child. Tour the boutique and see what Sweet Celebrations has to offer!

FAM Fest (Family Arts & Music)
Saturday June 8th 10am-5pm
Also hosted by the Made For More Project, join them for an afternoon all about the Arts! About as family friendly as it gets, this FREE events has plenty to do for the kiddos, including a bounce house, crafts and painting, and food. Take part in their silent auction and all the profits go to benefit the Made For More Project, whose mission is to empower our children. Bring the family out for a fun day in Acacia Park!

June Jubilee
Friday June 14th 11am-7pm
Another FREE event in Acacia Park, hosted by Colorado Events! Enjoy the beautiful Colorado summer at this annual outdoor artisan market. Featuring the work of more than 75 artists, there is something for everyone to enjoy, including paintings, sculptures, glasswork, photography, ceramics, and woodwork, and and live music! Perfect for a day out with the family!

Pikes Peak Celtic Festival
June 14-16th
Fish & chips, bagpipes and Irish Dancers- what more could you ask for? For a weekend full of tradition and culture, head on over to the Pikes Peak Celtic Festival! Learn traditional dance, eat delicious food, and enjoy plenty of arts and music. The Festival begins Friday the 14th at 4pm and goes until Sunday evening, with tickets starting at just $20 and $10 for children, this is one of Colorado Springs’ great events of the summer.

Vintage Market Days
Friday June 21-23rd
Much more than a flea market, Vintage Market Days brings you an upscale indoor and outdoor market with all the vintage you can imagine! Art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home décor, outdoor furnishings, edible treats and more! If you love vintage and thrifting, this will be the event of the summer. Moonlight on the Mountain
June 27th 6-10pm
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s first ADULT ONLY event of the season! Imagine having the full zoo experience and then some- with wine and beer tasting, delicious food and groovin’ music. Tickets start at $70.75, and all proceeds go to the care of Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s animals. Sip some wine with the zebras and say cheers to the elephants- this will be a night you won’t forget!
